Appiah Stadium [L] and Kumchacha
The leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha, has raised alarms regarding the behavior of Frank Kwaku Appiah, better known as Appiah Stadium. He identifies Appiah Stadium as a potential security risk to former President John Mahama.
Concerns Over Aggressive Behavior
In a recent statement, Kumchacha condemned Appiah Stadium’s aggressive demeanor towards President Mahama and other public figures. He emphasized that such behavior often disregards established protocols, highlighting the need for caution in interactions with high-profile individuals.
Fanaticism for Mahama
Appiah Stadium is known for his unwavering support and admiration for President Mahama. He has openly expressed his loyalty and the personal benefits he has enjoyed from his relationship with both President Mahama and his brother, Ibrahim Mahama.
Call for National Security Intervention
In a Facebook video, Prophet Kumchacha urged the National Security to take Appiah Stadium’s conduct seriously, suggesting that his actions should not be ignored. “Appiah is misconducting himself and should be called to order by the National Security,” he stated, indicating that he is supportive of Mahama but recognizes the importance of decorum in public settings.
Dangerous Encounters
Kumchacha described specific instances where Appiah Stadium has approached the President in unduly aggressive ways. He recalled watching videos where Appiah Stadium forcibly attempted to greet Mahama while surrounded by his security detail, which Kumchacha categorized as a significant security threat. “When your enemy wants to get to you, they use someone very close to you,” he warned.
Ibrahim Mahama’s Reaction
Adding to the concern, Ibrahim Mahama recently confronted Appiah Stadium about his public behavior towards the former president. In a viral video, Ibrahim expressed his disapproval, stating, “It is not nice,” highlighting the uncomfortable reality surrounding Appiah Stadium’s actions during public appearances.
Incident at Recent Funeral
On February 7, 2025, during a funeral at Burma Camp, Appiah Stadium was notably blocked from reaching President Mahama as he attempted to approach him. Despite his efforts to get Mahama’s attention, military and police personnel intervened, emphasizing the need for a secure distance between public figures and fervent supporters.
