    Francesco Risso Appointed Creative Director of GU

    Fast Retailing, the parent company behind popular brands like Uniqlo, Theory, and Helmut Lang, has announced the appointment of Francesco Risso as the new creative director for GU. This affordable fashion brand, often seen as Uniqlo’s younger sibling, offers a more trend-driven and budget-friendly approach to clothing.

    Risso’s Transition from Marni to GU

    This announcement follows Francesco Risso’s exit from Marni, an Italian luxury brand, which he had been leading since 2016. Known for his artistic and eclectic style, Risso will not only take charge of GU but is also set to create a new collaboration line with Uniqlo, which is expected to launch in 2026.
