Understanding the Chosen Mechanic

At the heart of the Festival of Beasts is the Chosen mechanic, which adds a unique twist to your strategy. Chosen units can be found in every fourth shop, allowing players to harness the power of their existing characters. However, you can only add these units by selling their previous versions, making decisions crucial to your success.

Rules for Chosen Units

When you encounter a Chosen unit, it’s important to know how their traits work. Each Chosen champion grants a +1 boost to one of their traits, enhancing your strategic options. If you’ve previously seen a Chosen unit and passed on it, it will have a different +1 trait the next time it appears. For instance, if you initially declined an Enlightened Talon, any subsequent offering of a Chosen Talon will provide you with an Assassin trait instead.

Keep in mind that passing on a Chosen unit will prevent that champion from appearing again for a few rounds. Additionally, if you own more than four copies of a 4-cost or three copies of a 5-cost champion, that unit will not be available as a Chosen option. Remember, 1/2/3-cost units have no such restrictions!

Shared Bag Sizes for Units

Understanding the unit pool is vital for strategy. Here are the shared bag sizes for each cost:

• 1 cost: 50
• 2 cost: 40
• 3 cost: 30
• 4 cost: 12
• 5 cost: 10
