HelloCloud: Transforming Skincare for Indian Consumers
With an ambition to create a dedicated marketplace for skincare and haircare products akin to Amazon, Jalaj Verma from Jhansi founded HelloCloud. This innovative startup focuses on simplicity and efficacy in skincare solutions tailored for Indian skin types.
From Concept to Launch
In September 2025, Jalaj embarked on his journey as an entrepreneur, armed with insights gathered from social media. “We began with a skin serum,” he explained in an interview with Startup Pedia. The young founder engaged with people on Instagram to gain knowledge about their concerns, which helped him formulate a product made of extensively researched ingredients.
Overcoming Challenges
At just 22 years old, Jalaj faced financial challenges after deciding to forego further academic pursuits. “My parents were aging, and I needed to support the family,” he mentioned. This decision led him to Bangalore, where he initially worked as a Content Consultant. Living on a modest salary of INR 5,000, he often slept in the office, showcasing determination in building his career.
The Road to Entrepreneurship
As he progressed in his career, Jalaj’s perseverance paid off. He transitioned through various roles, honing his skills, and eventually launched his first company, “Osme,” which he sold shortly after. The revenue earned allowed him to establish HelloCloud in his hometown, alongside school friends turned co-founders: Parth Singh Parihar, Akash Patel, and Hamza Khan.
HelloCloud’s Unique Offerings
HelloCloud specializes in dermatologist-tested serums designed specifically for Indian consumers. These products aim to provide powerful solutions for various skin types through a straightforward approach. “We are focused on educating our audience about skincare choices,” Jalaj noted, emphasizing the brand’s Instagram and LinkedIn marketing strategies.
Target Audience and Product Range
Targeting individuals aged between 18 and 26, HelloCloud caters to young professionals and college students who often feel lost amidst the myriad of skincare options. Currently, the brand offers two serums—one for oily skin and another for dry skin—priced around INR 999 with an introductory discount of 20%.
Future Aspirations
Looking ahead, Jalaj envisions transforming HelloCloud into a tech-driven skincare company over the next five years. “Our goal is to create a small version of Amazon for skincare products,” he shared. With plans for AI clinics that provide skin assessments, the journey of this Jhansi-based startup has only just begun.
Building a Young and Dynamic Team
Jalaj’s commitment to innovation extends to his team, composed mainly of high school and college students. “We believe enthusiasm trumps experience,” he stated, highlighting the diverse backgrounds of team members from cities like Bengaluru and Mumbai. As HelloCloud gains traction, it aspires to be a sought-after workplace for aspiring individuals in the skincare industry.
