Emma Dingle from Sault Ste. Marie has been officially crowned Miss Galaxy Canada 2026, marking a significant milestone in her pageantry journey.
A Magical Moment on Stage
“Competing and winning was an exhilarating experience. Being crowned on stage felt truly magical,” said Dingle in an interview with SooToday.
The Pageant Experience
The Miss Galaxy Canada 2026 Pageant took place in Toronto from October 24 to 26. This prestigious event emphasizes the empowerment of women and encourages self-expression among participants.
According to Canada Galaxy Pageants, “We aim to give everyone the opportunity to express themselves and strive for greatness.”
Previous Pageant Successes
At just 23 years old, Dingle has an impressive background in pageantry, having previously captured the title of Miss Ontario Regional Canada in Sudbury in 2024. “I’ve always had a passion for being on stage,” she remarked.
A Diverse Artistic Background
Dingle’s artistic experience spans competitive dance, singing, and theatre. She has co-choreographed productions for both the Musical Comedy Guild and Shot in the Dark Theatre.
A graduate of Superior Heights Collegiate, Dingle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Global Business and Digital Arts from the University of Waterloo, adding to her multifaceted skill set.
Advocacy through “Artful Hearts”
As part of her role, Dingle’s platform project, “Artful Hearts,” focuses on enhancing the confidence and self-esteem of youth through the arts. She is a strong advocate for arts education and aims to inspire the next generation.
Public Engagement and Advocacy
Over the upcoming year, Dingle will participate in various public appearances, including events in Sault Ste. Marie and across Canada. “Volunteering at events and engaging with students about self-confidence and the arts brings me joy,” she said.
In her full-time role in marketing at Women In Crisis, Dingle also champions awareness of gender-based violence, a cause she feels passionately about.
Looking Ahead: International Representation
Dingle is set to represent Canada at the Miss Galaxy International 2027 Pageant in San Antonio, Texas, in August 2027. “It’s a significant responsibility and an honor to represent such a well-regarded organization,” she expressed gratefully.
Other Sault Participants in the Pageant
Dingle was not the only participant from Sault Ste. Marie. Ann Ficociello, who competed in the 2025 Miss Universe Canada Pageant, was awarded fourth runner-up in the Ms. Galaxy Canada category for women 28 and over.
With her impressive accolades and commitment to advocacy, Emma Dingle is poised to make a positive impact in her community and beyond during her reign as Miss Galaxy Canada 2026.
