Exciting Future for Halo Infinite Competitions in 2026
Earlier this summer, we announced that Year 4 would mark the conclusion of Official HCS competition on Halo Infinite. Today, during HaloWC, we’re thrilled to share more details on what competitors can anticipate in 2026.
The Importance of Competitive Halo
Competitive Halo holds immense significance for both the community and us. As we step into 2026, we are collaborating with key members of the esports ecosystem to host Halo Infinite competitions, including our very own events. Let’s dive into what you can look forward to!
DreamHack: A Historic Partnership
Halo has enjoyed a rich history with DreamHack, and we’re excited to confirm that Halo will be featured at DreamHack Birmingham from March 27-29, 2026, in the UK. Additionally, a U.S.-based DreamHack event is also on the horizon, with details to be announced later this year.
Unmatched Prize Pool and Support
With a total prize pool of $100,000 and travel support for top teams, this competition promises to be thrilling. The open bracket format allows wide participation, making these events a must-attend for competitors across both North America and Europe!
Collaboration with HCS Partnered Teams
Our HCS Partnered Teams are stepping up to bolster the Halo community in 2026. While we finalize the tournament structure, teams including Cloud9, FaZe, Shopify, and Spacestation are committed to partnering with us. HCS will enhance their support by contributing to prize pools and ensuring cohesive scheduling within the ecosystem.
Grassroots Engagement and Community Support
We are also excited to engage with community legends and our HCS Grassroots partners, including LVT and the European Halo League, to facilitate more Halo-centric events. HCS will provide prizes to support an array of online competitions throughout 2026.
Halo Fest 2026: Celebrating 25 Years of Halo
In case you missed it, we are excited to announce that Halo Fest will take place in Seattle, commemorating 25 years of Halo. This event will be a celebration for all Halo fans, with esports being a significant highlight. We will also host an HCS Invitational at Halo Fest, featuring top invited teams competing live in front of fans and streamed for audiences at home.
Gratitude and Looking Forward
We deeply appreciate the incredible community and ecosystem partners who continue to support Halo. We’re eager to collaborate with them in bringing more competitive action and engaging content for fans. Thank you for your unwavering support of the Halo Championship Series. We hope to see you in the New Year!
Warm regards,
Tashi
