CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund’s ‘Americans in Paris’ Set for October
The highly anticipated CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund’s “Americans in Paris” will return to the iconic city of Paris on October 4 and 5. This annual event coincides with Paris Fashion Week, showcasing a range of innovative talent from the American fashion scene.
This year’s event will feature ten designers—both past and present recipients of the Fashion Fund—who will present their unique collections in a showroom backed by Instagram. The initiative marks its 19th season, also supported by Danucera and Supima, reinforcing the program’s commitment to nurturing American designers.
Launched in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund aims to support designers and cultivate the next generation of American fashion talent. Over the years, the program has mentored 189 designers and contributed more than $7.7 million in financial assistance, significantly boosting the fashion ecosystem.
This season’s lineup includes an exciting group of 2025 CVFF finalists such as Bach Mai, Bernard James, Meruert Tolegen, and Ashley Moubayed from Don’t Let Disco, along with designers Gabe Gordon and Timothy Gibbons. The showcase will also feature 2024 finalists like Jane Wade, Kate Barton, and Taylor Thompson of 5000, along with the winning sisters Dynasty and Soull Ogun from L’Enchanteur, and Lauren Harwell Godfrey, a 2022 finalist.
The exclusive two-day event will kick off with a celebratory cocktail party in Paris, accessible only through invitation. The showroom will be open to the public at 6, Place Des Victoires from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days, providing ample opportunity for attendees to immerse themselves in American fashion.
This year’s participants stand to gain invaluable global exposure as well as marketing and media support, which are essential for enhancing their business prospects. The integration of both past and present CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists offers a unique experience, showcasing the evolution of American design talent.
Steven Kolb, CEO and President of the CFDA, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “We are excited to feature, for the first time, both past and current CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists at the Americans in Paris showroom. We are grateful to Instagram for underwriting the showcase, allowing young American designers to thrive on a global platform.”
Vogue’s global network lead and U.S. fashion features director, Mark Holgate, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the significance of showcasing leading designers at Americans in Paris amidst a transformative season for fashion. Eva Chen, vice president of fashion partnerships at Instagram, reiterated their commitment, stating, “Instagram is thrilled to continue our support of this incredible initiative, which empowers the brightest new names in American fashion.”
