Alyssa and Giselle Thompson Shine in Nyx Makeup Campaign

Sisters and Angel City Football Club stars, Alyssa (20) and Giselle Thompson (19), are making waves not just on the field but also in the beauty industry. The duo has been unveiled as the latest ambassadors for Nyx Professional Makeup’s “Make Them Look” campaign, which celebrates the vital role beauty plays in women’s sports.

Continuing a Legacy in the Campaign

Their involvement follows the successful launch of the campaign in 2024, which featured Juju Watkins, a standout guard for the University of Southern California basketball team. The Thompson sisters are excited to carry on this legacy, showing how beauty can empower female athletes.

    Confidence and Self-Expression

In a video interview with WWD, Alyssa emphasized the importance of confidence in their lives: “We talk a lot about our confidence and how that’s grown over the years, and we want to continue that through this campaign and help spread that to other people coming to see us play.” She highlighted that the campaign is about feeling good in your skin, not just looking good.

    Social Media Presence

As part of their partnership with Nyx, both sisters will feature prominently across the brand’s social media platforms, showcasing how the products enhance their on-field performance and off-field glam. Their journey from childhood beauty enthusiasts to professional athletes has shaped their perspectives on makeup and self-expression.

    From Childhood Dreams to Reality

Giselle fondly recalled how they used to make videos pretending they were beauty gurus, sharing limited makeup supplies. “We had a palette of blushes and one brush that we would share,” she said. This playful start has transformed into a deeper understanding of beauty as they’ve matured.

    Beauty Beyond the Field

Today, both Alyssa and Giselle view beauty as integral to their identities and confidence. Giselle mentioned, “Even when we’re playing soccer, when I feel good and look good, I play better.” Their routine involves minimal makeup during games, opting for simple products like eyebrow gel and gloss, while embracing full glam during appearances like the 2025 ESPY Awards, where they showcased Nyx products.

Nyx’s Commitment to Angel City FC

Nyx Professional Makeup solidified its partnership with Angel City FC in 2024, becoming the team’s official sleeve sponsor. This collaboration not only marks Nyx’s entry into the soccer world but also highlights the brand’s dedication to empowering female athletes through beauty.
