Modern fighting games are thriving, beloved classics are increasingly accessible, and an array of fresh releases awaits. Evo serves as the pinnacle of this vibrant era, uniting players from across the globe to celebrate their shared passion for the genre. With competitor registration now closed and just over two weeks to go, let’s delve into the statistics and highlights for this year’s tournaments.

Evo 2025 Final Registration Leaderboard Insights

This year’s Evo features a staggering 8,541 players registered to compete. Dominating the leaderboard once again is Street Fighter 6 with an impressive 4,228 entrants, solidifying its top position for the third consecutive year. Following closely is TEKKEN 8, which drew in 2,521 competitors after its successful debut last year. The battle for third place proved thrilling, with FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves snatching the spotlight with 1,576 players, while Guilty Gear -Strive- remains a fan favorite with 1,508 entrants in its fourth year in Las Vegas.

    Record-Breaking Attendance for Classic Titles

This year marks a historic moment for MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2, boasting 570 entrants, making it the largest bracket for the game in Evo history. Its consistent record-setting brings nostalgia and excitement for longtime fans. The remaining games in the Arena lineup, UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes and Mortal Kombat 1, complete the roster with 547 and 377 participants, respectively. These eight titles are set to showcase their Finals on the prestigious Arena stage, yet they aren’t the only tournaments to look forward to this year.

Extended Lineup: A New Era of Competition

This year’s Evo introduces the Extended Lineup, featuring an additional eight games, allowing for a total of 16 Evo Champions to be crowned. Although these titles won’t play in the Arena, they will be featured on Evo stages, with brackets streamed on official channels, adding excitement to the event. With these additions, Evo 2025 boasts an impressive 13,892 unique bracket entries across all official tournaments, showcasing the growth and diversity of the competitive fighting game landscape.

    Entrant Crossover: Analyzing Game Registrations

The charts illustrate notable crossover registrations among the Arena Lineup tournaments. A significant 943 players are competing in both Street Fighter 6 and FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, indicating a strong overlap in interest. Furthermore, nearly 60% of competitors in City of the Wolves are also registered for Street Fighter 6. THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV also sees a high crossover with FATAL FURY, with around 80% of its players signing up for the latter.

    International Representation at Evo 2025

While over 90% of attendees at Evo 2025 hail from the United States, participants from 64 different countries will also showcase their skills. Countries with the most representation include Canada, Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and South Korea. Street Fighter 6 is widely popular across most countries, but FATAL FURY stands out in Mexico, illustrating regional preferences in the competitive scene.
