Excitement Grows for the Miss Alabama 2025 Pageant
As anticipation mounts for the Miss Alabama 2025 pageant, three nights of thrilling preliminaries have concluded, paving the way for an exciting finale scheduled for Saturday.
Highlights from Preliminary Events
On Friday, three exceptional contestants received accolades for their outstanding performances in talent and evening wear categories. This year, a total of 43 talented women are competing for the prestigious state title, scholarship awards, and an opportunity to represent Alabama in the Miss America pageant.
Top Talent Competition Scores
Emma Terry, representing Hoover, achieved the highest score in the talent competition with a stunning ballet en pointe routine to “Flashdance.” A graduate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the 22-year-old has a degree in accounting and is passionate about her community service initiative, “Stomping Out ALS Once Step at a Time.”
Evening Gown Winners Shine
Tied for the top score in the evening gown competition were Hannah Adams, Miss Phenix City, and Evie Smith, Miss Vestavia Hills. Adams, 21, hails from Birmingham and graduated from the University of Alabama with degrees in public relations and political science. Her initiative focuses on “Finding a Cure for Pediatric Cancer.” Eighteen-year-old Evie Smith is from Slocomb and is currently studying rehabilitation and disabilities studies at Auburn University, supporting children who have experienced trauma through her initiative, “A.C.T.— Advocating for Children of Trauma.”
A Look at Previous Winners
This year’s preliminary events span from Wednesday to Friday at Samford University’s Wright Center, offering contestants the chance to showcase their skills in various categories including talent, evening wear, health and fitness, and on-stage interviews. Notably, Lauren Vance, Miss Tennessee Valley, tied with Evie Smith for the top talent score on Thursday by showcasing her piano skills with “Valse Dramatico.”
Community Service Initiatives Take Center Stage
All contestants have also highlighted their community service initiatives during the week. For instance, Emma Walters, Miss West Alabama, excelled in the evening gown round on Thursday and is dedicated to promoting self-love through her initiative, “Love the Skin You’re In.”
Finals and Special Events
The pageant will culminate in the grand final on Saturday, June 28, at 7 p.m. Former Miss Alabama winners added flair to Friday’s event, performing numbers to upbeat songs while the charming Miss Alabama 2015, Meg McGuffin, served as emcee.
