Miss Michigan 2025 Celebration Kicks Off in Muskegon

MUSKEGON, MI – On June 9, the picturesque shores of Lake Michigan became the backdrop for the kickoff of a week-long celebration for the contestants of Miss Michigan 2025. The vibrant atmosphere was set at The Deck, a popular restaurant and bar situated in Pere Marquette Park.

Welcome Party at The Deck

The welcome event served as a delightful introduction to the 22 contestants, who will soon vie for scholarships and the prestigious title. In the days leading up to the competition, these young women will engage in a series of public events throughout Muskegon, allowing locals to meet and connect with the candidates.

Reflecting on the Journey

Miss Michigan 2024, Jenae Clayre Lodewyk, a native of Bay City, expressed her excitement about the event. “This is a full-circle moment for me,” she noted, recalling her own experience during last year’s Miss Michigan week. “I keep saying it’s crazy how much I’ve changed in a year. I blossomed.”

Competition Highlights This Year

This year’s competition will feature preliminary rounds on Thursday night, showcasing a variety of segments including on-stage questions, social impact initiative speeches, talent performances, health and fitness evaluations, and the ever-glamorous evening gown presentations. Lodewyk assured attendees, “The talents here this week are going to be incredible,” emphasizing the uniqueness of the talent portion that distinguishes Miss America competitors.

Event Details

Both the Miss Michigan Scholarship Program and Miss Michigan’s Outstanding Teen Program competitions will take place at the Frauenthal Theater, located at 425 W. Western Ave., in downtown Muskegon. The preliminary rounds are set to start at 7 p.m. on Thursday, followed by the finals on Saturday, June 14, where the new Miss Michigan 2025 will be crowned.

Miss Outstanding Teen Competition

On Friday, June 14, at 7 p.m., the Miss Outstanding Teen competition will be held, culminating in the crowning of the teen winner at the end of the night. This competition is not just a platform for showcasing talent but also aims to provide scholarships to the deserving candidates.
