Opal Suchata Chuangsri Crowned Miss World 2023

On Saturday, Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand was named the winner of the Miss World 2023 pageant, held in the vibrant city of Hyderabad, India. The international beauty competition attracted 108 remarkable contestants from around the globe.
Chuangsri emerged victorious, showcasing her beauty, talent, and intelligence, captivating judges and audiences alike. Following her, Hasset Dereje Admassu from Ethiopia secured the title of first runner-up, making it a memorable event for participants and fans.
The crown was presented to Chuangsri by the reigning Miss World 2022, Krystyna Pyszková, who praised the new queen’s journey and achievements. This passing of the crown symbolizes not only personal triumph but also the diverse beauty celebrated at the Miss World pageant.
The 72nd edition of Miss World was brilliantly hosted by former Miss World 2016 Stephanie del Valle alongside Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar, who kept the audience engaged with their lively commentary and charm throughout the event.
India has had the honor of hosting the Miss World pageant for two consecutive years, highlighting the country’s rich cultural heritage and beauty. Last year’s event saw another exciting lineup of contestants and celebrations that resonated with audiences worldwide.
Representing India, Nandini Gupta made it to the top 20 but did not advance further in the competition. Despite not winning, her performance showcased the talent and beauty present in the Indian contingent.
India has a proud history in the Miss World competition, having produced six winners over the years: Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000), and Manushi Chillar (2017). Each titleholder has made a notable impact both in pageantry and various societal causes.
