India Launches ‘Operation Sindoor Outreach’ to Combat Terrorism
New Delhi: In a strategic diplomatic effort, India has launched a groundbreaking global campaign known as “Operation Sindoor Outreach”, aimed at highlighting Pakistan’s connections to terrorism. This initiative follows the recent ‘Operation Sindoor’ and is a multi-faceted approach to address the threat posed by terror networks.
A Unified Front Against Terrorism
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is spearheading this unprecedented initiative, which features seven high-level delegations consisting of 59 Members of Parliament, including former ministers and distinguished diplomats. These delegations are set to visit 33 countries from May 21 to June 5, demonstrating a united national stance against terrorism.
Clear Messaging from Foreign Secretary
During briefings held on Tuesday for three of the outgoing delegations, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized India’s position on cross-border terrorism. He remarked, “India has faced cross-border terrorism for over four decades. We are now implementing a new normal in counter-terrorism efforts, leaving no room for ambiguity or appeasement.”
Rejection of Joint Investigations
In response to a proposal from Pakistan for a joint investigation into the recent Pahalgam attack, Misri firmly declined, stating, “Asking Pakistan to co-investigate terror attacks on Indian soil is akin to asking the thief to investigate his own crimes.” This statement underscores India’s resolve to tackle terrorism without compromise.
Classified Dossiers for Targeted Engagement
The delegations are armed with classified dossiers and intelligence materials illustrating Pakistan’s military and ISI’s roles in promoting terrorism. These documents include direct evidence from Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror launch pads along the Line of Control (LoC).
Global Outreach and Engagement
The MPs will engage with foreign governments, parliamentarians, media, civil society, the Indian diaspora, and international bodies such as the United Nations. They aim to present firsthand accounts and documented proof of Pakistan’s terror infrastructure and its support for groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
Strategic Messaging to International Community
With planned stops in key global capitals from Tokyo to Washington and Brussels to Jakarta, the outreach campaign conveys a potent message: “Terrorism anywhere is a threat to peace everywhere, and India will not stand alone in this fight.”
Bipartisan Support for Anti-Terrorism Efforts
By involving opposition leaders and regional party MPs alongside ruling party members, the government emphasizes that the fight against terrorism is a bipartisan effort, reflecting a united national resolve. Operation Sindoor Outreach highlights India’s commitment to holding accountable those who harbor or support terrorists, sending a clear signal to the world that safe havens for terrorism must end.
