Fendi to Showcase Coed Runway Show in September 2025
MILAN — The age-old adage, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” rings true for Fendi as the luxury brand continues to revel in its 100th anniversary celebrations. Following the success of its fall 2025 coed show in February, Fendi is set to stage another coed runway show this September, skipping Milan Fashion Week scheduled for June.
Continuing the Celebration
Silvia Venturini Fendi, the brand’s artistic director overseeing accessories and menswear, will once again lead the design efforts for the upcoming show. As of now, the specific date and location remain undisclosed. Milan Fashion Week is set to take place from September 23 to 29, making it an exciting time for fashion enthusiasts.
A Unique Experience
The previous February coed show marked an impressive start to Fendi’s centennial year, blending the brand’s rich heritage with contemporary design. Venturini Fendi created a special accordion-style invitation, showcasing a nostalgic collection of photographs, including one of herself as a child model for Fendi in the fall of 1966. The invitation also included a touching group photo of the Fendi sisters, daughters of the founder Adele Casagrande Fendi.
Revamped Venue and New Flagship
Coinciding with the fall 2025 runway event, Fendi will reopen its Spazio Fendi on Via Solari in Milan, its historically significant runway theater and showroom, which has undergone substantial renovations. September’s show will also inaugurate the brand’s new flagship location on Via Montenapoleone, promising an impressive four retail floors complemented by a two-level Langosteria restaurant, in collaboration with noted restaurateur Enrico Buonocore.
Anticipation for Leadership Changes
As speculation grows regarding a potential successor to Kim Jones, who departed as Fendi’s artistic director for women’s haute couture, ready-to-wear, and fur collections in October, the competition for the esteemed role appears fierce. Names ranging from influential designers who have previously collaborated with Venturini Fendi, like Frida Giannini and Pierpaolo Piccioli, are being discussed.
The Legacy of Silvia Venturini Fendi
Silvia Venturini Fendi, the granddaughter of founder Adele Fendi, plays a crucial role in the brand’s legacy. Known for designing the iconic Baguette bag in 1997, she has led Fendi’s menswear collections since 2000, solidifying her influence in the luxury fashion landscape.
New Leadership at Fendi
By the time of the upcoming runway show, Fendi will see new leadership with the appointment of Ramon Ros as CEO, effective July 1. Ros, transitioning from his role as president and CEO of Louis Vuitton in Mainland China, brings a wealth of experience to Fendi. He will succeed Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, who has taken on the role of deputy CEO at Christian Dior Couture.
With an exciting schedule ahead and a strong legacy to uphold, Fendi’s upcoming events promise to keep the fashion world abuzz.
